Staffing Updates:

Mrs. Jennifer Sprau has announced her plans to retire at the end of this month. We are incredibly grateful for the lasting impact she has made in our new Windsor Park community.

Mrs. Sprau is a truly special educator who has brought joy, kindness, and heart to everything she does. She has touched the lives of countless families through her passion for teaching, her deep love for her students, and her remarkable creativity and artistic talents. Her thoughtfulness and genuine care for others have left a lasting impression on everyone lucky enough to know her.

While she will be greatly missed, we celebrate the incredible legacy she leaves behind and wish her all the very best in this exciting new chapter.

We will be planning a special send-off for Mrs. Sprau later this month—stay tuned for more details!

School Council and Society Message

Hello Windsor Park School Families!

As spring approaches (fingers crossed) and we look forward to summer we can’t help but start to celebrate how much we have achieved in OUR FIRST YEAR at Windsor Park School. We are thrilled to have officially registered the Calgary Windsor Park School Parents Fundraising Society. This is an important not-for-profit entity to help support the school and our students.

The school, staff, and teachers have done a tremendous job creating a safe and warm environment suited to learning and play for our K to grade 3 students. On behalf of the Parents Fundraising Society, we would like to engage and appeal to parents to further support this school and environment.

Did You Know:

  • The last time that Windsor School opened was 2009
  • There are 160 students in the school this year and projected to be 195 next year
  • In the first year, students will benefit from three school residencies – the Calgary Flames Classroom Crew, Alien Inline, and an offsite swimming residency
  • Grants have already been secured by the school for improved and updated acoustics, portable and quality piano, musical instruments, new library resources & books, new technology for the gym, Grow Towers – along with seeds and soil, the Zoo conservation trip and more. Thanks for the work by the school to secure these grants quickly!

So, how can you help?

As the parent council and fundraising society work towards a number of initiatives and events, parents and guardians can make a donation directly to the Calgary Windsor Park School Parents Fundraising Society.

All donations can be sent via e-transfer to Calgary Windsor Park School Parents Fundraising Society Treasurer, Stan Wei at Windsorparkt@gmail.com

If you would like your contribution eligible for a tax receipt, please donate through the Education Matters website for Windsor Park School: https://www.educationmatters.ca/schools/windsor-park-school

Donate what you can, and your contribution will be directed to the highest need items from the below list:

  • Fee assistance for field trips
  • Gym equipment including hula hoops, yoga mats, soccer nets, balls, pinnies and more
  • Technology
  • Light panels
  • Imaginary play resources
  • Music instruments, repairs, and resources
  • Extra Furniture such as special chairs
  • Classroom carpets
  • Naturalization of outdoor spaces
  • Supporting the cost of the May offsite one-week swim residency for grade K-3 students including transportation.

Let’s Get Social!

We are excited to announce a number of events for both students and parents in the near future – for both students and parents, along with our educators.

Thanks for your consideration and helping to build something great for our kids.
