From School Council
Hello Windsor Park School Families!
As spring approaches (fingers crossed) and we look forward to summer we can’t help but start to celebrate how much we have achieved in OUR FIRST YEAR at Windsor Park School. We are thrilled to have officially registered the Calgary Windsor Park School Parents Fundraising Society. This is an important not-for-profit entity to help support the school and our students.
The school, staff, and teachers have done a tremendous job creating a safe and warm environment suited to learning and play for our K to grade 3 students. On behalf of the Parents Fundraising Society, we would like to engage and appeal to parents to further support this school and environment.
Did You Know:
- The last time that Windsor School opened was 2009
- There are 160 students in the school this year and projected to be 195 next year
- In the first year, students will benefit from three school residencies – the Calgary Flames Classroom Crew, Alien Inline, and an offsite swimming residency
- Grants have already been secured by the school for improved and updated acoustics, portable and quality piano, musical instruments, new library resources & books, new technology for the gym, Grow Towers – along with seeds and soil, the Zoo conservation trip and more. Thanks for the work by the school to secure these grants quickly!
So, how can you help?
As the parent council and fundraising society work towards a number of initiatives and events, parents and guardians can make a donation directly to the Calgary Windsor Park School Parents Fundraising Society.
