School Council
Our next school council meeting is February 18 at 6:30 PM. We will be sharing upcoming events and council will be discussing next steps to create enrichment opportunities for our 155 students at Windsor Park.
February is Black History Month!
February marks the beginning of Black History Month, a meaningful time for learning, reflection, and recognition of Black excellence, history, and joy throughout CBE schools.
Lunar New Year
February 17 marks Lunar New Year, a significant cultural celebration observed by many communities across Canada and around the world. Within CBE, our schools reflect a rich diversity of languages, traditions, and lived experiences, and this occasion offers an opportunity to continue fostering welcoming, caring, respectful, and safe learning environments for all.
Often referred to as the Spring Festival, Chinese New Year, Tết by Vietnamese communities, or Seollal by Korean communities, this celebration holds deep cultural and historical meaning for many Southeast Asian Communities and Canadians. It is one of the most widely recognized and joyfully observed events globally, and many schools take this time to share understandings, deepen learning, honouring cultural traditions, and invite ways of knowing. Welcome the Year of the Horse through meaningful student, family, and community connections and conversations!
School Dance
Our first school family dance was a huge success! Students had lots of fun dancing and singing with their friends and family. A huge thank you to several parents coordinating the food, decorations, decorating, selling refreshments and most of all…cleaning up! Becky, Caitlin, Shauna and Claire - we appreciate you!
