Windsor Weekly

Students have been outside enjoying lots of sunshine and fresh air as the temperatures have been warmer than usual. Grade 1s used our tiny robots called Ozobots to learn about coding and designing as they use them to retell a favourite folk tale. They are now sharing their learning with other grades and having a lot of fun!

Teachers will be re-assessing our students using the Alberta Education diagnostic assessments for literacy and numeracy. Kindergarten students will be included. More information will be shared at our council meeting next week.

School Council and Society:

Our next school council meeting is Wednesday, January 21 at 7pm. Please join us in person or on line. Miss Mah Grade 1 Teacher will be sharing our School Logo Design project. Mrs. McCrory has a presentation for the administrator’s report and parents will discuss the upcoming family dance on February 5. Parent questions and input is always welcome and appreciated.

Calgary Windsor Park School Parents Fundraising Society:

We have a society, incorporated October 1, 2025.

 Thank you to the diligent and persistent work of a caring team of parents including Kris and Keely Cameron, Safa, Beckie, Jordan, Kyle, and Kalpani, we have been granted a school society by Service Alberta. With a society we will be able to fundraise and distribute monetary donations to the school. This includes: robotics, new books for the library, residencies such as alien inline, swimming in May, subsidizing field trips, designing and creating a naturalization area, and any other initiatives that are requested by staff and students. We can now begin to build our legacy.

Family Dance - February 5 at 5:30pm in the Gym. 

This event is for the whole family!
