Terry Fox Run and Fundraiser

• On Tuesday an ambassador from the Terry Fox Foundation came to speak with all of our Windsor Park students

• Students completed a 30 minute run on September 24 to raise awareness and understanding of this important event

School Open House

Thank you to all of our families that were able to attend our school open house. Students and staff were excited to share student work and plans for the year. Each teacher has a virtual Google Classroom that offers information specific to the class as well as important information. Teachers are always interested in parent perspectives and appreciate feedback. The best way to communicate with your child’s teachers is through email.

Orange Shirt Day

• Staff and students will be honouring the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Tuesday. Everyone is encouraged to wear orange to recognize this important day. Students will be engaged in activities to learn more about Truth and Reconciliation Week. Schools and offices are closed Sept. 30. In recognition of Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, students and staff will participate in a variety of age-appropriate learning activities over the coming weeks. We encourage all students to wear orange on Tuesday, September 29th as a visible reminder that Every Child Matters.
• A reminder that there will be no school on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
• There are many community events taking place in Calgary on September 30th. If your family is interested in learning more or participating, additional information is available through the City of Calgary here.

Volunteers!

If you would like to volunteer at Windsor Park School, please go to MyCBE School Engage and complete the volunteer form. You will be required to complete a Police Clearance after you receive the letter from our school. It is important you share your clearance with the school afterwards. All cleared volunteers must complete an annual volunteer form also found in School Engage. You must have a current police clearance to be able to volunteer at Windsor Park School.
