First Day of School
Our staff hopes that the initial days of the new school year have proceeded smoothly and that everyone is successfully settling into the back-to-school routine. Tuesday marked a momentous occasion with the presence of media representatives and Chief Superintendent Jo Pitman, who joined us to welcome families and share in the excitement of the opening of our new school. We are grateful for the kind and encouraging words expressed by families and sincerely appreciate the opportunity to celebrate Windsor Park as we begin to cultivate a strong and proud school community.
We’re looking forward to the year to come and creating enriching opportunities for students, families and staff. In October there will be an opportunity for parents to partake in a workshop to create a school council for Windsor Park. In the meantime, teachers and administration will be reaching out to families for volunteer opportunities. Please ensure you have completed the Volunteer Police Information Check AND the Annual Volunteer Form.
Follow us @cbewindsorpark for exciting updates of our learning journey for 2025-26 and CBE @yyccbedu for a welcome message from Chief Superintendent Jo Pitman

Illness
Children feeling unwell should stay home until feeling better. Forms
Each year, schools have a variety of forms that parents / legal guardians are required to complete or review and update, some of which are paper and others online. In CBE, the forms in an online format (SchoolEngage) are:
- Demographic Verification – 2025-26– This form includes your child’s personal information as well as parent / legal guardian contact information.
- Citizenship Information Update – 2025-26 – This form becomes available if you change your child’s citizenship information on the Demographic Verification form.
- Annual Authorization – 2025-26 – Combines the following forms:
o School District Use of Personal Information - explains how CBE uses personal information in providing education services.
Consent for CBE Use of Student Information – provides an option to grant / not grant consent for additional use of student information by school/district and third parties.
Consent for Use of Student Information by News Media and Outside Groups (Third Party) - provides an option to grant / not grant consent for additional use of student information by outside groups and third parties
SchoolEngage is one of the applications found in your MyCBE account. This is the same account that you use to pay fees, view academic information, book school conferences, etc.
Please submit the Demographic Verification and Annual Authorization forms by Monday, September 15. These forms are mandatory every year for Alberta Education to confirm student funding. Thank you for completing them.
Lunch Supervision Registration
If your child will be staying at the school during the lunch hour, you will need to register for Lunch supervision. You can register and pay using your MyCBE account. Lunch supervision registration and fees will be posted to your account after September 2025.
Just a friendly reminder that students will need to bring their own spoons & forks with their snack and lunch as we have a limited supply to give out. Students DO NOT have access to hot water or microwaves.
Please refer to this link for more information on fees and waivers.
Any family needing a waiver is encouraged to apply to the City of Calgary Fair Entry Program to prove income for a CBE waiver, as well as access other benefits of the program. This is optional for families and the CBE will continue to accept other approved documents as proof of income.
