Student Learning Conferences
March 19-20
These conferences provide an opportunity for students, parents, and teachers to discuss:
- Learning progress
- Areas of strength
- Next steps
If you have any questions, please reach out to your child’s teacher.
Kindergarten Zoo Trip
Our Kindergarten students had an amazing time visiting the Calgary Zoo on Wednesday. They are learning all about penguins and what it means to think and work like scientists.
A heartfelt thank you to:
- Our six parent volunteers who made the day possible
- Ms. Seddon, our Kindergarten teacher, for coordinating this wonderful learning opportunity
We are so grateful for your support.
Classroom Complexity Funding
The Government of Alberta is providing funding to support schools in addressing classroom complexity.
During this week’s School Council meeting, we:
- Discussed what this funding means for our school
- Reviewed a CBE information sheet
Mabel’s Labels Fundraiser
Our students do their best to take care of their belongings, and staff regularly support them in keeping items organized. However, gloves, hats, and hoodies sometimes go astray.
We encourage families to label their child’s belongings.
Windsor Park School partners with Mabel’s Labels as an ongoing fundraiser. Families can purchase personalized, durable, waterproof labels for clothing, school supplies, and lunch items. A portion of proceeds supports our school.
To participate:
- Visit: campaigns.mabelslabels.com
- Search for: “Windsor Park School”
- Complete your purchase

- Character traits
- Community connections
It has been exciting to see students drawing, discussing, and learning about these joyful birds known for their strength and endurance.
Jump Rope for Heart
Students will be skipping and having fun while raising funds for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Our campaign kicks off on Monday, February 23 — always a favourite event for our littles!

Pink Shirt Day
On Wednesday, February 25, students are invited to wear pink in recognition of Pink Shirt Day.
Throughout the year — and especially on this day — students learn about:
- Kindness
- Caring
- Empathy
- Perspective taking
We look forward to “sprinkling kindness” together as a school community.
Roots of Empathy
Our Kindergarten students are participating in the Roots of Empathy program.
Over the next five months:
- Baby Ellie and her mom, Lee, will visit our classroom.
- Students will learn about empathy, emotional development, and the power of love.
This meaningful program helps build understanding, compassion, and strong social-emotional skills in our youngest learners.
